For 25 years, our member organizations have fought for
access to basic rights and services for everyone. This
long-term work is what creates lasting change. From fighting
for legal rights and policy change to affordable health care and
strong communities, Shares' members are creating positive change that
benefits us all.
In 2009, Community Shares raised over $1 million for nonprofit
groups that served over 200,000 people across Cleveland. Our efforts
generate essential operating support by introducing our members to a
network of 143 workplace giving campaigns. Reaching out on
behalf of our 36 groups together makes smart business sense in these
lean times. Being efficient is at the core of Community Shares'
purpose.
