CAMPAIGN INTERN

Community Shares, founded in 1985, is a nonprofit fundraising federation that provides an independent source of funds for 40 Cleveland-area social justice organizations. We provide increased choice for employees within workplace giving campaigns, resulting in increased funding for important local nonprofits. Through advocacy, education and empowerment, our member organizations work to address the root causes of problems facing our community.

The role of the Campaign Intern is to assist the Campaign Director and the Campaign Committee in consistently increasing dollars raised for Community Shares member organizations. We plan and implement workplace fundraising campaigns in over 175 workplaces in Greater Cleveland.

TASKS MAY INCLUDE:

  • Working with the Campaign Committee to plan and implement the campaign
  • Planning and developing content for the campaign newsletter
  • Assisting workplace campaign personnel with their campaign needs
  • Assisting the Campaign Director in communicating with campaign personnel
  • Planning and implementing campaign events, such as the campaign kickoff, presentation training and campaign training
  • Assisting in the development of campaign materials
  • Coordinating campaign presentations and agency fairs
  • Updating the database of campaign personnel
SKILLS:
  • Familiar with Windows-based word processing and basic databases
  • Able to communicate well verbally and in writing
  • Creative, organized and detail-oriented

Internships are 200 hours; schedules are flexible; a small stipend may be available. Resumes are accepted year-round.
