COMMUNITY SHARES NEWS
April 3, 2007 - Community Shares Exceeds its Goal and Raises over $1 Million!
Employees in 145 workplaces throughout Greater Cleveland (including Lorain County) all conducted workplace giving campaigns that included Community Shares. The good news: people responded generously!
Individual donors also supported social justice by contributing independently, or by designating gifts to Community Shares or our members in businesses whose giving campaigns do not include Community Shares.
THANK YOU!
Consider this great support:
Staff at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland State, Tri-C, Baldwin-Wallace, Hiram and Oberlin College contributed $127,000.
Cleveland Municipal School District's teachers and students increased their donations to Shares by $12,000!
City of Cleveland employees increased their giving 22%. Together, City and County employees pledged more than $100,000 to Shares members!
Together staff fromlibraries around Greater Cleveland contributed over $50,000 - special thanks to Cuyahoga County Public Library and Cleveland Public Library!
State and Federal employees contributed through Combined Campaigns more than $57,000 to our member organizations.
WOW! What a year!
